Visit of Swedish State Secretary to Minister for Housing and Digital Development

On May 16th 2018, Greater Paris Investment Agency had the privilege to organise a program of tours and visits in the Greater Paris area for the Swedish State Secretary to Minister for Housing and Digital Development and the Swedish delegation.

Throughout the morning, M. Alf Karlsson, Swedish State Secretary to Minister for Housing and Digital Development, Her Excellence Mrs Veronika Wand-Danielsson, Sweden’s Ambassador to France and the rest of the Swedish delegation had the opportunity to discover one of the most emblematic neighbourhoods in Greater Paris: Plaine Commune.

Introduction to Plaine Commune’s main development projects by Président Patrick Braouezec, demo of French savoir-faire in digital tech, presentation of the industrial demonstrator for sustainable cities Rêve de Scènes Urbaines (French initiatives for urban innovation), experience of a sensory unit at the Domolab (Saint-Gobain Recherche) and field visit of the future Olympic and Paralympic Village at L’Île-Saint-Denis.

During this series of encounters, plenty of innovations developped by Grand Paris Makers® for sustainable housing were introduced to our Swedish guests: acoustic performances and materials quality tested by Saint-Gobain at the Domolab, 3D mapping of development projects in Grand Paris by Vectuel, innovations for urban ecology and participative housing in the riverside eco-district at L’Île-Saint-Denis.
